E1 Medical Advisors started as a service of E1 Precision Consulting, which is a successful business consulting firm. More and more individual physicians continued to reach out to E1 Precision Consulting for assistance with future employment contracts. The first few clients experienced great success and were able to sign final contracts for hundreds of thousands of dollars more than they had been offered.
We realized that we know how to negotiate pay for doctors because we are doctors and we know how to negotiate with hospital administrators because we are hospital administrators. This initial success caused the E1 Consulting partners to invest in additional benchmarking resources and the assembly of more team members to service these customers.
Through an extensive market analysis, we noted that certain clinician cohorts were receiving much less than they deserved. For example, the 2021 Medscape Compensation report shows that the gender pay gap continues to grow and that women specialists make 33% less than men. This gap is even greater when race is considered. This gap would cause some people to be paid millions of dollars less in their careers solely due to their gender or race, and that is simply unacceptable! This helped us to crystallize our service of eliminating the data asymmetry between large health systems and private equity and the clinicians and providing professional negotiating services to ensure ALL clinicians are paid what they deserve throughout the entirety of their careers.
With this new team and purpose, E1 Medical Advisors was created as a new company to provide the most extensive benchmarking data to our clients paired with our proprietary negotiation pathway navigated by our clinician concierge and led by our experienced negotiators.
